First Arts

Philip Eurbanks
Saturday, August 13 at 3pm, the First Arts Committee held an afternoon reception for Philip Eubanks and the beautiful art he is currently exhibiting here at First Pres. The exhibit is open to view Monday-Friday 9am-noon and Sundays from 9am-2pm
His love for nature is reflected in his work, and one of his favorite materials to work with is wood. He uses wood to construct shacks, churches, and animal structures, as well as frames for his artwork. Philip has a deep faith and a gratitude for living which is reflected in his beautiful creations.
Dani Harris
This exhibition was available to view from this date to that date. You can visit her website to see more of her art by clicking here. Originally from Chicago, Dani Harris earned her BFA in Illustration from the Memphis College of Art and has turned her lifelong love of art into a career, first as a medical illustrator for St. Jude Children’s Hospital and studio assistant to Memphis artist Alonzo Davis, then as a graphic and web designer for several local organizations including the Brooks Museum of Art. She first fell in love with figure drawing after taking a life drawing class at MCA and eventually started adding different layers to her drawings using paper and watercolor. Her body of work represents the results of what she calls her “art therapy”. We’re so excited to welcome her work into our space!
